Whatsapp Will Force You To Buy A New Phone
Are you holding on to one of those old Android phones or iPhones saying that it is your lucky phone or your sentimental phone – if yes then probably you may have to let go of that smartphone unless you are not using Whatspp in your phone and that is very unlikely.
Almost every smartphone user today makes use of Whatsapp. So If you are having one of those old Android Phones and iPhones then Whatsapp will stop working in your phone very soon. It is high time that you started looking for a new smartphone. You can check the new mobile phones and their ratings and reviews at VuPhones.com.
Android versions 2.3.7 and older are not supported any longer. (1 Feb 2010)
iOS 8 and older are not supported either (1 Feb 2020)
This is what Whatsapp has recently updated in its support page:
We provide support for and recommend using the following devices:
Android running OS 4.0.3+
iPhone running iOS 9+
Select phones running KaiOS 2.5.1+, including JioPhone and JioPhone 2
Once you have one of these devices, simply install WhatsApp and verify your phone number. Keep in mind that WhatsApp can only be activated with one phone number on one device at a time. Furthermore, there’s no option to transfer your chat history between platforms. However, we provide the option to export your chat history as an email attachment. Learn how to export your chat history on: Android | iPhone | Windows Phone
For the following operating systems, you can no longer create new accounts, nor reverify existing accounts. However, you’ll be able to continue using WhatsApp on:
Android versions 2.3.7 and older until February 1, 2020
iOS 8 and older until February 1, 2020
You’ll no longer be able to use all Windows Phone operating systems after December 31, 2019, and WhatsApp might not be available in the Microsoft Store after July 1, 2019.
Note: Because we no longer actively develop for these operating systems, some features might stop functioning at any time.
